This branch deals with the principles of modern surgery, along with the study of ancient surgical procedures. Shalyatantra, an ancient surgical science, is a vital branch of Ayurveda. Theoretical, as well as practical training and guidance in the subject of Shalya Tantra, are provided to the students. Students learn the surgical procedures inside the operation Theatre. The department is well equipped with the latest surgical specimens, models, teaching materials, CD’s, surgery-related photos and charts. The experienced faculty train the students in various surgical and para surgical procedures.
