This department deals with classification, pharmacognosy, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics properties of herbs used in the preparation of Ayurvedic medicines. This is a non-clinical course which emphasizes on research. In this branch, students are trained in the identification of medicinal plants of Ayurveda, their properties, action and therapeutic uses under the basic principles of Ayurveda.
